City police Wednesday registered a case against Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation (FIF), a subordinate body of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), on the charges of displaying a banner for collection of charity in violation of Section 144 imposed by Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration. A police official said that the FIF has displayed a banner at a mosque at Ghauri Town, located in the limits of Koral police station, for collection of funds. The police after receiving information registered a case against the organization for violating the Section 144, he added.

According to a notification issued by the ICT administration, in order to curb the terrorists' acts or assistance activities carried out by proscribed organizations and their subsidiary welfare wings, the Section 144 has been imposed on any fund raising, banner displaying and other associated activities in the territorial limits of Islamabad. Hate material publication of proscribed organization will be restricted and persons propagating the views of proscribed organizations will be prosecuted. All boxes/camps or any other activity for the purpose of fund collection should be immediately confiscated and removed.
